Step-by-Step Guide for Building Scignos Robot
This Page (and Site) is still in Development - More information will be posted soon.
1) The core of the speech recognition and interaction with the Wolfram Alpha Web Server has been built by following the steps found at the following link: https://oscarliang.com/raspberry-pi-voice-recognition-works-like-siri/
A few modifications were made to that Article. These modifications will be documented in the near future.
2) The assembly instructions regarding the Servo Brackets can be downloaded from here.
3) This video illustrates how to connect a servo to the Raspberry Pi and to a Battery Pack. The example can be extended to the 17 Servo Motors used in this Project.
4) The stl files (designed in Onshape) for printing the 3D Parts can be downloaded from here.
Scignos has currently been built using a Breadboard, as a Prototype. One could obviously solder the components using a soldering Iron in order to make the Robot more robust.
Two LEDs will be added to Scignos in the future, in order to mimic emotions within his eyes. Furthermore, several types of Sensors could be added to Scignos as well, in order to increase its different types of interactions with Humans.
Moreover, more 3D Parts could be designed and printed in order to cover Scignos limbs.
